Sacraments at St Peter’s

We are one of three schools in the Catholic Parish of Epping and Epping North and have an aligned Sacramental Season. By celebrating our Sacraments in one season it highlights and demonstrates that we at St Peter’s see the whole school engaging in what Sacramentality means for our community today and how we live sacramentally as integral to our being.
Our Sacramental Season is not just focused on the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation, these Sacraments are integral and important elements of our faith and our Catholicity however, it is just as important to recognise that we experience sacrament in all aspects of our lives.
For the families and year levels that are not involved in celebrating formal Sacraments we are ensure all families are engaging in dialogue around what it means to live our day to day lives Sacramentally.
The learning program from Prep-Year 6 includes participating in Parish Mass, visits from the Priests (and Bishop if in senior school), Family night, home learning, reflection, celebration, exploration, wondering and most importantly questioning!

In collaboration with the families we facilitate learning that prepares our students for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation and how we live these Sacraments in our day to day lives.

We treasure the opportunity to work with families at the special time of Sacrament preparation. In connection with our parish, we offer all baptised Catholic students the opportunity to receive the Sacraments in the following order:
Reconciliation – Year 3
First Eucharist – Year 4
Confirmation – Year 6
Students and families are offered the opportunity for regular receiving of the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist post initial reception.
